Transposing part sequence electribe 2

Post by 256K »

Hey! quick question, is there any way to transpose a part after it has been sequenced? im finding the lack of t his extremely limiting! i have a lot of complex sequences written and i want to play around with their place to fit and i can't seem to manage a way. if i can't transpose but only have to delete entire sequence and re-write then this is a HUGE LIMITATION for me!

I'm almost scared of the answer....

yes! - make sure Scale Mode is set to on for the part you wish to transpose, and then go to the Key and adjust it.

See my thread for the full explanation: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=94957

Hmm can't quite get whati want from it.... what im looking for is basically writing a sequence and then with a button or knob go up or down octaves, the key thing only works if i want to change the key of it which is also good... but not what im looking for, if i go to scale and change it to octaves it doesnt do it either

I liked the EMX's transpose. It was really easy and didn't affect drum sounds.

Why not just tune the oscillators up or down 1 or 2 octaves? The pitch knob might be the easiest way to get what you're after.

If you go into the second page of the step edit menu, where the note names are displayed, pressing shift while turning the parameter knob will transpose the highlighted note by +\- one octave for each notch. You have to do this for every note in your sequence. It's the closest you'll get to a transpose function i'm afraid...
If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

Volca Sample, FM, Beats, Kick. OP-1, Monologue, Pocket Operators. And an ipad.

You can disable scale mode for the drum parts on the e2 to prevent transposing them when changing the key/scale though. I think it's possible to use different keys and scales per part
