I bought recently a used Behringer X1222usb for EUR 150.- and I do like it very much
However I also have a Belkin RockStar 5-Way (costs around EUR 10.-) for "quickies" .... |

Hi, thanks Chris,... I will get a very simple Behringer MX400 Mixer, just to make some tries
Then I will see if I get more specialized on this apassionate music stuff, to look for a bigger Mixer _________________ Proud owner of the Volca series |

I do not use USB to PC but to my knowledge it is 2 channels only.
To your 2nd question: I have it just a few weeks but so far I do like it very much!
Before that I had the xenyx 1002 which was simple, cheap and good but the new gear plays definitely in a different league
My main reason to upgrade was having more gear .... |

Check which input sockets you're hooked up to on your mixer and look out for any switches that select between phono and line. You want line input(-phono not good for synths, purely analogue turntables).Thats the first thing to check.
Try some headphones out the mixer to check if the problem is there or further towards your PC input. |

Your cables seem like the right ones.there is always the small chance they are broke ,but if you test straight into PC with one Volca and its good, you have ruled that out and narrowed it down to the mixer. |
