Set Pattern Lock ?

After the update of my Electribe 2s, I noticed a new option called Pattern Lock... What does it do? I activated it, but saw no difference and no description anywhere, even the manual.
ANy ideas? Thanks, just curious.

Write protect your pattern?
I've never updated so I'm not sure.

With it on, you will be unable to switch patterns without holding shift. This reduces the issue of accidentally changing patterns when you scroll the main dial instead of the osc dial, accidentally.
