Wondering if this is unique or experienced by others
My lightly used 73 key M50 had a noticeable cracking noise from the Left output at a gig last weekend. I tried right output with same cable and it worked ok. So I tried my monitor out of the Headphone jack using earplugs and it too cracked, UNTIL I withdrew the 1/4" Jack out a notch.
So I planned t take it in for service.
I tried a couple cables today and could not duplicate the cracking noise.
I switched them from L to R and back and everything sounded fine.
Puzzling and disconcerting because I hate to pay $100 for an unnecessary service call, so I'm wondering if anyone's experienced something like this.

It could just be a contact oxidation on the jacks, which is quite a common occurrence in audio and other equipment. The repeated insertion and removal of jack plugs has probably cleared some of it off. Some contact cleaner may help.
