Hello All,
first let me thank each and everyone of you for your info and recommendations.
I have two questions if you can help me I'll really appreciate that.
1- when i turn on my Korg Pa1x it makes some horrible noise and it wont go away, however a few weeks ago it would go away after a couple of minutes but now it wont, someone told me that the user memory is damaged, do you think its the memory? do i need to change the memory? where can i order the memory?
2- I tried to upgrade the new OS but through USB cable port and my pc, but I cant find the version which can up done through you pc only (NOT FLOPPY DISKETTEE) coz i dont have them. can you tell me where download the OS for this process for KORG PA1X ONLY (NOT KORG PA1X PRO)
I do apology if this is a repeated question or a very simple but im very NEW to Korg Pa1x.
THANK YOU ALL.

Even if you have a PC you need the MAC version of the OS package (see instructions).
You can get my copy here:-
OS
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5RyH ... jFVZDVKLUE
RES
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5RyH ... GNGVzNIYWc
Also your PA1X must have an internal HD drive installed.
If you are completely stuck, get back to me.
Cheers
Pete

Hello karmathanever,
Thank you so much for you quick turn around really appreciate you reply.
this is whats happening:
1- I downloaded the files you shared the link, then there were four (4) folders, I turned on my keyboard and plugged in the USB cable to my pc and keyboard, then copied and pasted the 4 folders into keyboard HD, BUt when i restarted and tried to open them to start the actual upgrade process or extract those files to keyboard, NO file is showing when i open them in keyboard. Am i doing it wrong or why are those files noting opening in the keyboard system basically its like unknown files to keyboard.
than you

Hi
The update can ONLY be achieved using the 4 diskettes but what you have done so far is good....except
you have not completed the preparation - you have to have 4 diskettes ready to prepare - you do this preparation ON THE PA1X (rather than the PC)
so you need to complete the preparation as per page 2 in the instructions (steps 5 & 6):-

so you need to complete the preparation as per page 2 in the instructions (steps 5 & 6):-
STEP 5.
Prepare four 1.44", MS-DOS-formatted, blank floppy
disks. You can prepare them with the functions found on
the Disk > Format page of the Pa1X
After this you will have the 4 diskettes ready for the update - follow normal update procedure with the 4 diskettes.STEP 6.
Copy the content (not the folder itself) of each “Disk [n]”
folder into the root of each of the four floppy disks, starting
from Disk 1 and ending with Disk 4. Label them with the
corresponding progressive number. When finished, your
operating system disks are ready.
Cheers

Thank you so much again. So what you are telling me is the process needs the floppy disks no matter what??
I've ordered some floppy disks which may arriv before Xmas. I'll bother you once again when I get my floppy disks.
It really takes me a few minutes to write my questions coz I feel really bad if my questions are repeated and already answered but I guess I'll still have to bother you.
Once I'll get my floppy disks I'll copy the content of the 4 folders into my floppy disk and then insert the floppy disks into my keyboard and follow the instructions right?
Thanks for your rapid turn around.
