|
|
I bought a used TRITON-RACK and EXB-PCM04 board.When I load the floppy disk and push DISK/UTILITY( C_BANK.PCG IS SELECTED) I select "LOAD SELECTED" ,OK/OK,Screen shows"This is a triton pcg file",below is
"BANK C -> E-A " (checked), I thought E-A mean "EXB-A" so I push"ok" button,
but program will load to"int-C" to overwrite factory preload int-c ,what I have misssed? I have a KARMA and installed EXB-05&09, it loaded program smoothly,
googled and found there's same problem on triton-studio,though it seems doesn't work on rack.
How do I can load exb program to exb-a bank? |

If you open (not load) the PCG file and navigate until ou can select INT-C, then click load, you should be able to select which bank to load into. |

Thanks SanderXpander! It works!
********************************************************
For those people who have the same question, let me write a note*
1.Put "data library" floppy disk into FD drive.
2.Push "DISK" and select "C_BANK.PCG" .(D_BANK.PCG should be same with C)
3."OPEN"
4.Select "Programs"
5."OPEN"
6.Select "BANK I-C"
7.UTILITY/Load Selected
8.LCD displays " Load Program Bank I-C to: "
HERE SELECT WHERE YOU WANT TO LOAD !
Since I want to load programs to bank EXB-A,here turn the dial wheel to
select"Bank E-A"
9.DONE! Same with Combinations/Drum kits/Arpeggio Pattern.
*******************************************************
key point is Prog/Combi/DKit/Arp should be loaded seperately. The way of
installing progs/combis of the EXB's manual seems only work on TRITON-
CLASSIC and KARMA. Do I get something wrong at Korg's website ? I can't
find PDFs talking about this way to load progs/combis of EXB boards.
Finally ,thanks for your reply ,SanderXpander ! |

You also might take a look at PCG Tools for (re)arranging PCG files.

Glad to hear it worked for you. If you navigate further into the file, inside the bank, you can use the same technique to load individual programs (say, from a backup or a downloaded collection of sounds). Not only that, simply selecting the program inside the bank will let you play/audition it. Pretty neat. |

Umm, to me it's something weird.I downloaded "Studio Soundbox Sound Collection" from korg, "open" into the bank, select a program to play by MIDI before loading, there's always INT-A 000 Noisy Stabber sound.Theorically there
should be pianos ,EPs and strings sound. Do I miss something again?
By the way , is it normal that EXB-board program can not be auditioned by push AUDITION button? |

I don't know about the last question, but the first you can easily check if you open PCG Tools and load the PCG file ... it shows you exactly which banks are filled and which are not. _________________

OK, I am sure this has been answered and is being repeated, anyhow, I have a Triton Extreme and I want to load my samples to the Triton Rack, I am also installing the Musitronics hard drive in the rack, my question: is it the same way to export from Extreme to Rack? |
