Is anyone know where I can repair Korg X-50? in UK or Ireland?
I need a new Power inlet board, if anyone know where to get one, used or new? |

Hey mate, I've been looking into this because I bought 5 of them at auction, and they all have this exact same problem. Near as I can tell there is not simple solution; replacement parts are no longer available. Tonight I'm going to take one of them apart, and attempt to create an 'unorthodox' solution to the problem. It's most likely going to come down to me remounting the jack somewhere where it won't break, and then soldering a patch wire from it's new location to the power inlet board itself. That or clipping the end off of a power supply wire, securing it to the chassis of the synth and soldering the wire directly to the board. We'll see what makes more sense once I got it apart.
I'll be sure to take pictures and do a write up of my results. |
