Yes - you can open any file from anywhere with a Hex editor.
If you are thinking of writing some smart software you will need to fully understand the file structure which is proprietary information (from Korg)
There are some forum members (and others) who have access to this information but not without formally signed NDAs with Korg.
Also, again, if you are planning to write software, bear in mind that an update from Korg could make all your development work void.
Cheers

If your plan is to change Pa ID in files due to have access in other models , also bear in mind that you might destroy destination
Pa flash system files and you will face a great disaster that will lead you to motherboard replacement if not discontinued !!!
It's greatly advised not to experiment with loading corrupted files in PaSeries , any source code info can't be recognized from there ! _________________ Music Conductor - Sound Engineer & Developer - Automotive SMPS/RF R&D - Electronics Engineer

So - what are your "editing" plans?
