I can't seem to find the relevant menu for changing the function of the Ribbon-Controller - for example to assign a new effect/parameter.
Does someone know where to find it?
All the best

The ribbon controller assignment can be tricky to find because there's not one central place where it's assigned. It can be assigned directly to many of the synth's parameters that can accept AMS modulation.
So you have to go looking for it, using your ears to guide you. A likely candidate is on the filter cutoff - it's assigned to that on many of the factory programs. So go to the filter tab in whichever synth engine and then to the Filter Mod sub-tab, and look at the AMS sources for one assigned to Ribbon.
Once you've found it you can unassigned it from it's current target by setting that AMS source to "off", and then you can assign it to another synth parameter that accepts AMS modulation sources, and turn up the intensity to the desired amount.
Do you have a specific program you're looking at?

Hi Mathias,
If you have a PC, download the TidyKronos freeware. Do a complete backup of your Kronos in Disk mode, then open the PCG file you just created. This freeware had a very useful function called "View used AMS/controllers of selected program". You then immediately know what is assigned to lots of things in a given program (including the ribbon).

Re: How to change Ribbon-Controller function
Mathias, to assign the ribbon controller, go to the parameter you want to control. Under the AMS dropdown, you'll find Ribbon Controller (CC#16).Mathias Heise wrote:I can't seem to find the relevant menu for changing the function of the Ribbon-Controller - for example to assign a new effect/parameter.

As the other have suggested, if you want to remove some parameter already assigned to the Ribbon, you will have to search through the tabs and see what has Ribbon Controller assigned to it, then change that AMS to None.
