Korg Gadget 2 Note recording: Replace or Overdub?

Post by Dammit57 »

Hi

First off, I just wanted to say hi, great forum you’ve got here. It’s helped me allot over the years with my Korg gear, thanks.

My question is regarding Gadget 2 on iOS. I just took the plunge yesterday and purchased it.. my gosh I’m really liking it.

At the moment my goal is to use my Triton LE as a controller for a bunch of hardware synths, which I’m hoping to sequence via Gadget 2. I like the idea of jamming via short midi loops, slowly building up a composition, and each loop going out to a different hardware synth.

I was wondering, can the midi note recording style on Gadget be set to something like “replace” instead of its default “overdub” style behaviour where new notes are added on top of previously laid down notes? I’d like to record a loop by repeating it until I have the performance just right, without having to manually delete it each time I want to start over.

Thanks for your time.
