Very nice! Uplifting. Captain of your soul, maintain a right and steady path, even in stormy seas. I hear the JX voices starting at 3:00 - the Kronos equivalent thereof - a signature sound in the late 80's / early '90's. A featured patch on the Roland JX-10 I played often!

Did you use the internal Seq or a DAW ?
Did you use the internal effects only or some VSTs ?
Re: Funk/Fusion
Hey Liviou2004: The pad sound in the beginning and in the middle of the piece along with the Rudess-Like leads is all Kronos. Sequencing and everything else is Logic Pro. Hope you enjoyed.Liviou2004 wrote:Hi, Kevin, could you please tell us : are all sounds coming from your Kronos ?drama1 wrote:Anybody into funk/fusion? Leonard Bernstein - Simple Song
This is my version of "Simple Song" from Leonard Bernstein's "Mass."
All I had was a piano reduction, so I did the orchestral arrangements by ear based on the original cast recording from around 1971.
Other than my voice, everything is KRONOS.
I definitely can't sing this like I could when I was 20 in 1994. I was so upset when I didn't get this solo in college
I'm clearly straining toward the end!
