|
|
Is there such a thing in nautilus? What are some preferred approaches when using the nautilus strictly as a controller? Is it best to just load up a blank user init program and assign the CCs in global for whatever one happens to be using, and just use that, or is there a more robust method?
edit: I'm specifically referring to page 916 in the parameter guide, it appears that not every CC can be assigned wherever I please, to whatever controller. Is this actually the case? I want total flexibility to be able to assign any of the RT knobs, X/Y Joystick to any CC # that my VST/library software might utilize or possibly even have as a fixed CC under the hood. (Yes I know fancy tricks exist to reroute CCs once you're in the DAW, but that's not the point)
Another example of something I'd like to do is to be able to assign JS+X and JS+Y to ... any CC. Is this possible, either? I don't want to use the on-screen vector pad.
One idea I'm thinking, if my init program idea is best, is to possibly create those programs with specifically assigned CCs (but isn't this done in global? ... I'm confused) for each piece of software's CC scheme, then maybe utilize the set list to be able to rapidly reassign CCs for differently mapped softwares.
P.S.:
what did you guys do with your "kronos pride" decal included with the nautilus? |
