What about all you that had GENOS/SX900 PSR series etc, Do you miss the sounds from it after you maybe changed to KORG PA Series?
Just wondering what kind of sounds you loved on the YAMAHA series.

Hi Asena,
The last Yamaha arranger I had was a Tyros 5. Yamaha make excellent arranger keyboards despite the comments of some of the Forum Members. Korg are playing 'catch up' with PA5X and playing it very badly in my opinion. That said, I am a committed Korg owner who also owns a Nautilus 88.
Regarding the sounds, there is one particular Yamaha sound that I would love to have on the Korg PA5X and that is the Boys Choir. There are two versions oohs and ahh's. Korg have nothing that comes remotely close to sounding as good. Frankly, the Korg vocal sound is painfully embarrassing (a really bad female amateur opera singer which has no practical use whatsoever).
A final question, the PA5X says 2,000 plus voices but many of them are GM type voices of a far lesser quality. That seems to be the case, do others agree ?
Chris

Hi Asena
I've owned very many PSR keyboards and also Tyros.
Since Korg arrangers, I have missed none of them.
Korg styles are professional not monotonous loops.
Korg sounds are up there with the world's best.
Features, control surface and usability for performing and recording is outstanding.
(I cannot speak for PA5x yet)

Well said. I had in the past some Yamaha PSR and SY99 (this one at its time was good) and since I switched to Korg (more than 20 years ago)
I didn't miss any Yamaha styles or sounds.
