Studies show a person will form their first impression
somewhere between seven seconds and two minutes.

Not just in Human relationships, but also Product-Relationships.
Being with someone or Something, that lets you down
once theyve promised to Correct their behaviour
its still very difficult to overide, your first impression.

With the possibilty of being let down again, due to their History

No sympathy for any Korg Pa5X owner.

Past history of Korg tells us that they are slow to release updates if they release any at all.

After having a Kross 2 and Pa700 I was sceptical that the 5X would be bug free or limited in features given that the K2 had to wait 18 month for an effective update and the 700 has never had one in 7 years.

Will I be buying another Korg, NO.

How about a bit of empathy, then?

I have been using the pa5x since May. The style, sounds etc. filing system is like a computer, which I like. I had some problems with a couple styles imported and converted from the bonus section. Hoping to get bonus styles exclusive to the pa5x. If I remember “Straight Rock” has a missing keyboard set and some of the styles with Coronet keyboard set are not set to control with expression pedal. There is no allowance to edit this in the factory unless copy/paste to User or drive. I report this to Korg as the problems come up.
I will be gig ready once my Songbook is completed and feel confident in its’ use.
Although, still gigging with PA3x and a pa1000 as spare. May keep pa5x at home for self enjoyment…

Well, It,s sounding great, but OS is NEW and that messes many things.
We will see, IF and Whenever they fix it, many will decide KEEP or NOT!

Like it is now having an extra KB is a MUST.

The whole idea from my side was/Are (Not having an extra KB)
For now, thats not what i can.
I must have an BACK UP!

I agree that it's best to have a backup (currently the Pa3xle) still in the studio); but so far it literally has not been turned on. I have found the 5X perfectly fine from an operational standpoint. I have been able to lock it up on occasion but only when rapidly switching screens back and forth. Turning it off and on gets the keyboard unlocked again. I am approaching the 5X as a new technology and not putting any demands on it to do everything that my 3xle does. With that attitude, the learning journey has been painless. And the sounds and arrangements are so much better. It is a mindset. I look forward and not backwards. So far it has been a good approach to this instrument. Now if I take it out "live" I will be sure to have my 3Xle there (in case).

yes, this sometimes happens, when your screen doesn't respond, then press the menu button and then the exit button. Then the screen works again. There is no need to reboot the pa5x in the case of locked screens

Thanks Qui! menu and exit sounds much easier and quicker. And logical when I think about it. 8)

Your use of word for definition Network1. An alternate could also be "operator error." Although that is two rather than one word. But certainly possible as an accurate result of my method of screen bouncing.
