I've tried to collect samples from audio before, and couldn't even work out how to FIND (let alone re-use) the sample recorded.... but here goes the question:
Is there a way to take a sample of a sound, save it and then apply it to all 88 keys of the Korg (much the same way that it's possible to do with the Fantom 8 from Roland?)
I have a few ideas in mind to take a sample and use it in a loop with the loopstation, but cannot find how to even retrieve the recorded sample, let alone apply it to all notes of the 88-key instrument.
If it's not possible, then I can understand that (and Roland has another advantage over Korg), but if there's a way to do it easily and "live" (for example, while streaming) without having to spend 20 minutes manipulating things, then I'm all ears.
Cheers
Leland

The concept is exactly the same as for the Roland Fantom.
I don't own a PA5x but I have done this on my PA1x to PA4x.
As Qui says, you need to create a multisample using the sample(s) you recorded (and yes, from mic is fine).
Roland has a far better and more intuitive interface and OS for creating multisamples.
I am away from my main computer for another 12 days and no access to my Korg docs however the PA1x manual has a great example/tutorial on how to do this - I had never done any sampling before and achieved it from just this manual. I am not sure if this "tutorial" was continued in later manuals - happy to share it with you but not for another 12 days (sorry).
