SQ-1+Monotribe problem

Post by frated »

I linked a brand new sq-1 to my monotribe 2.1 via cv, but it seems that, despite every configuration i try, sq-1 can only send (or monotribe can only receive) 1 note and only at a certain knob position. Am I missing something? or is my unit defective? MIDI works perfectly, usb too...

Hi,

Well, the monotribe combines CV and Gate in one stereo mini jack plugged into the SyncIn.
The SQ-1 outputs the CV and Gate signals as separate outputs. So you need a converter cable that brings the 2 signals from the SQ-1 into one jack towards the monotribe.

I'm afraid you will need to solder a bit, but it should not be too hard. Get some inspiration here:
