A message to our friends during the storm

Post by Paolo@Korg »

Dear Friends,

As you can guess, things have been a bit hectic during the latest weeks. KORG Italy developers have been continuing to work via remote access, but with the whole country in lockdown things have slowed a lot. At the moment, lockdown is officially expected to end on April 18th in Italy.

The problem is unfortunately extended to all our labs, offices and manufacturing facilities around the world. As you know, it's not easy to make a forecast on the end of this problem, that is still spreading in more countries.

Concerning health, we can report that none of us or our relatives have been affected by the virus up to now. We are therefore ready to start kicking again, as soon as we can.

But we know that you are affected by this pandemic as much as we are. So, our hope is that all our friends/customers around the world are doing well and manage to stay safe. The general recommendation is the usual one: stay at home, and if you have to go out be very careful in maintaining some distance. It started, it will end.

We recommend that you read the up-to-date information in the dedicated web site of the World Health Organization (WHO) (https://www.who.int/health-topics/coronavirus#tab=tab_1), and from the official pages of the authorities of your own country.

As musicians, grown on small stages or garages, and working to make people stay as near to the others as possible, we are the least likely to live with this idea of 'distance'. But it's just for some time. Then, we will rediscover how good it is to hug each other, at the sound of our preferred song.

Nothing will stop the music!

Take care!
The KORG Italy Team

Paolo,

We are so relieved to see you respond and know you are well. Thank goodness everyone is safe and things are "trending" back to normal. We are still a ways away from that. Thank you for keeping us posted.

Please take care and be safe.

Glad to hear that you and the Korg "family" are ok. I want you to know that whether or not musical instruments are deemed "essential" by the government, your excellent products make times of confinement like this one much more bearable. Praying for you and your countrymen. God bless Italy!
