Hey fellow Korg owners,
Since Korg is taking their time updating the Sound Editor for Mac, I'm using SysEx Librarian to attempt to transfer new patches onto my MicroKorg XL.
I'm connected to my computer via USB. I'm having no problem backing up my current sounds (MIDI.DUMP) but I can't seem to get the MKXL to receive the new sounds. I've got MIDI FLT->SYS EX and GLOBAL PROTECT->OFF
Destination on SysEx is set to MKXL Midi Out.
Any idea what's going on here? Thanks!

Hi,
You need to select MIDI Sound instead of MIDI out.
* MIDI Sound - USB MIDI messages are sent to the internal mKXL sound engine
* MIDI out - USB MIDI messages will be forwarded by the mKXL to the MIDI out DIN connector but not interpret by the board itself
Also verify that the MIDI routing parameter on the board is set to to USB+MIDI or USB, but not to MIDI.
Refer also to the manual p60. There are 3 pictures showing the above explanation.
Good luck!
