Pa5X ID (Anyone up for a quick test)

Hi all
Can someone with a Pa5X and an Android Phone or Tablet try the following for me?

Download this and install it on your android device. (Copy and paste the full link into your browser)

Once installed, don’t run it just yet. Connect your Pa5X to your android device using a USB cable and then run the App.

All going well, it should sniff out a Midi Connection between your Android device and the Pa5X, while also sniffing out the ID of the Pa5X. This ID should appear in both the Midi In and Out fields.

What I need to know is exactly what my App displays the Pa5X ID as in the fields. It’s case sensitive, so I need to know exactly to the letter and case how the Pa5X appears in the IN and OUT fields.

OK down loaded > alowed all permission for the app to work on my phone > app opened > 5 to 10 sec no activity on screen > refresh and reset still no activity then shuts app down > android message "pa5x remote keeps stopping" this repeat across all pa5x USB's....?

Hmmm... sounds like the App is not even running on your phone. D’oh..!!!

Does it run if it’s not connected to the Pa5X?
Also, what kind of phone do you have, and what version of Android is it running?

The App is built to run on Android devices that only have a 64 Bit CPU, but I can build for 32Bit if that’s needed.

P.s. open with out connection and appears just the same when it's connected there seems to be no activity, unless it's running in the background ? Opens with photo of pa5x blue screen with two tiny boxes joined together midi in midi out

Perfect, that explains why it won't run. Your phone uses a 32 Bit CPU and doesn't support 64 Bit.

Give me a moment and I will do a new build that supports both 32bit and 64 bit CPU's.

Yes - I believe I see where he's is going also (a new Midi Mapper) - but unfortunately I'm an all Apple Home.

I was going to order a FirePad during Amazon's Prime Days just because it was so cheap, but decided I would never use it. Well, here I am with a need for one...

Out of the following 3 stages, how far does this go for you?

1: You launch the App and you see a Pa5X Splash Screen graphic for 2 seconds.
2: It then goes to a blue screen with two column called Midi In and Midi Out.
3: The columns should populate with the Pa5X ID, but you can try pressing the refresh button in the bottom left to force a scan.
