Hi Menca
Sorry to hear of your problem.
Your OS (although seemed to load OK) may be corrupted or it may be your Resources files.

If you haven't already done this, then I recommend that you download new fresh copies of ALL OS3.01 and Resources 3.00 and make fresh copies of diskettes (use NEW diskettes) and also copy the fresh Resources to your hard drive. (delete the old ones first to be sure)

Follow the instructions for a complete new installation and ensure you use the "Intro1" button INSTEAD OF "OK" on the touch screen for the first diskette of the OS

Hope this helps

be sure you have no folder in folder

in the folder of the BKP should be the single files and no folder again.

Thank you Karmathanever and Wittid,
I realy appreciate your efforts helping me. I tried everything it just got worse.I took it for repairs to a Korg repairer in Melbourne :( LOGITRONICS kept my PAX1-Pro for five weeks they sad it has software problem they couldn’t fix it( they done what I did). I took it back thinking I might try something else (tried all OS from 1.6- to 3.0.1,) all OS loaded OK musical resources couldn’t load always with message error – BKP damage files, failed loading. I am wondering about BKP Files where do they load? Is it in SSD, I am worried that SSD is somehow bugged or maybe damaged? Is there any way to reformat SSD, or erase manualy? Loading OS itself kind of does it....but?!>? :x
Thank you Guys.

Hi menga,

ok, we do the following steps.

Install OS again (with pressing INTRO1 button (not OK on the screen)).

By pressing INTRO1 you´ll format SSD-RAM.
Then all is empty.

Download the BKP from the website again (maybe it´s damaged), unzip, transfer via USB to HD of Key. Be sure you have no folder in folder. In the BKP-Folder you only should have many files.

Then restore BKP again.

good luck
Detlef :D

If you have any questions - come back to me - i´ll be able to send you a manual if you send me your e-mail via PN

I’ve tried again and again always with new sets of FD’s downloaded fresh from Korg site and also tried many times to load BKP files from HD, still same problem it goes up to 14% “Damaged BKP files” error would stop loading resources . With OS version 3.01 can’t load anything –No sound will come out of keyboard.
With OS 2.0 BKP files can load just some sounds, no Set’s not even single factory SET neither my SET’s.
By the way I always use ENTRY 1 BUTTON to load OS.
Must be something wrong with keyboard can’t be all BKP files damaged for all Operating systems BKP 1.6, BKP 2.0, BKP 3.0. I think I must be on a serious trouble   . Could be FD(unit) at fault although seems to load OS OK. I will try to disconnect FD and use portable FD to try it might make a difference?! :?

I assume you are loading the correct Resources with the OS - if you mix them you will have serious problems..
Also, have you used the "Intro 1" button when loading OS (to format the SSD) ?? - this is important....

Just checking....

Yes I always use "Intro 1" button to load OS.
From desperation to resolve the problem I tried to mix OS 3.01- with 2.5 BKP files then it went from bad to worst.
Any ideas?
What should I do?

Hi download OS and BKP again

Use these files:
http://www.korgpa.com/pa_root/software/ ... 301_PC.zip
and
http://www.korgpa.com/pa_root/software/ ... 300_hd.zip

Then create your disks new - install OS with Intro1

unzip the BKP (be sure you don´t have folder in folder - only 1 folder with files in it - else it will be the problem you descriped) - transfer to key via USB.

Restore BKP and reboot 1x

Good luck

Hi Detlef
Thank You for your effort, I did exactly what you instructed me to do / couple of times.
Never used folder within folder and always used Intro-1 to load OS. I Still have same problem “ BKP files damaged …loading faild.” Now I am looking to find some professional service for Korg PA1X pro in Melbourne/Australia. I am a bit frustrated because I already wasted 5 weeks to some technicians that claimed to be professional.
Again Thank You Detlef you gave me some hope I was getting exited Each time you tried to help (maybe It was going to work!!!?!! )

To eliminate the possibility of file corruption

Download all files again (OS & resources)
Create diskettes using new or different diskettes
Make sure you copy the BKP folder exactly as it unzips to your Keyboard HD

Perform a full installation (use "Intro1" for 1st diskette)

If you still get the problem then it is most likely hardware/firmware and will require an engineer.

Good luck
