OASYS V 1.5.0 STARTING USE "SPECTRASONICS VST P-IN?

Post by QUILY »

OASYS UPDATE V1.5.0 MAY WILL USE SOME KIND OF SPECTRASONICS VST AS PLUG-IN, LIKE A SMALL VERSION OF THE "OMNISPHERE" AND A SMALL VERSION OF THE NEW "TRILLIAN" VST.
I HEARD IT TODAY IN ANAHEIM, AT THE NAMM.

LOVELY,

WILL SEE... :D

If that does happen, then it could open the doors for third party development on the Oasys.

Then development could sky rocket one would hope!

Look at it this way. Loose Stephen Kay on one hand. Gain Spectrasonics on the other.

Not that I am saying we have lost Stephen Kay of course!

More speculation

Post by robkeith »

Dan,

cant Korg see what is happening here????,,, as I said whilst this rampant speculation continues my investment in the big O, is dropping faster than the stock market did just recently!!! I think you need for your sake and mine to change the no comment rules very quickly!!! right now my Oasys would be worth half if not less than what I paid for it.

So please dont delay

EXi MOD-7 Waveshaping VPM synthesizer=YAMAHA DX-7.....

Post by QUILY »

THE LASTEST OASYS UPDATE (v1.3) INCLUDED THE "STUNNING" EXi MOD-7 Waveshaping VPM synthesizer=FULL YAMAHA DX-7,
6 FM OPERATORS,PLUS THE TOP NOTCH KORG FX = THE BEST FM SINTESIS OUT OF MY JAMO'S MONITOR....
NOW OUR "BEAST" CAN READ FULL YAMAHA DX-7 AND DX-9 SYSEX AND REPRODUCE THOSE SOUNDS LIKE THE DX7 DOES.GREAT.

NOW THINK THIS: NEW EXPANSION :

EXi-OMI-8= FULL "OMNISPHERE" SOUNDSOURCES COMPATIBLE.

WHY NOT? I LOVE THE FUTURE......I LOVE MY "OASYS".

READ THIS, BUT DO NOT BLAME ME, (FROM JAPAN FORUM NEWS @ 12-19-2008),

KORG OASYS WILL BE OUT OF PRODUCTION IN THE LAST QUARTER OF 2009.SORRY.

"KARMA" KEEP GOING WITH THE UPDATES LIKE THE NEW V2.5 FOR THE MIKO (OPEN LABS).

SPECTRASONICS IS WORKING THE NEW PLUG-IN FOR THE OASYS (NEXT AND FINAL UPDATE) V1.5.
BUT, BUT (LISTEN THIS GUYS...) THE SHARP "OMNISPHERE'S" NEW (PROTOTYPE) EXPANSION IT WILL BE EXCLUSIVE ONLY FOR THE OASYS USERS AND WITH ALL THE FUTURE SUPPORT FROM "SPECTRASONICS" IN THE YEARS TO COME.

I REALLY LOVE MY OASYS'S'S'S'S'S FUTURE.

Why do you forum trolls keep insisting that Karma is done with KORG? You tried getting a used M3 lately? They are selling and people are keeping them. Karma is going nowhere as far as korg is concerned. Did karma take down all their Korg products and say we are EXCLUSIVE with company X now? Can the Korg processor even run all the bells and whistle in the new Karma2.5? Do you think Korg can't make a new Oasys with more processor power to run this software? Come on guys calm down

I'm guessing that you're joking, but you've touched on a point of interest for me.

If I may suggest, investment in tech is better viewed as a capital investment, which allows you to produce goods and/or services. Tech will generally deteriorate rapidly in value, starting the instant that you take it out of the store. It is rare that its resale value increases again (in the way that stocks may do, for instance), unless it happens many years later as a "vintage" piece. The value you derive from it is the ability to make better-sounding music, either for profit or for pleasure (or both). Its resale value becomes incidental.

On another note, the standard price of the OASYS 88 has remained constant since its release, and that of the OASYS 76 has almost done so, falling only from $8k to $7.5k, and that fairly recently. This steady pricing is pretty unusual for a synth that was introduced four years ago, and has presumably also helped to keep resale prices higher.

BTW, in case there was any doubt: the original premise of the thread (re Spectrasonics) is completely without merit.
