KLC-1 not working on my new Imac :(

Post by Handcrafted »

I have the latest version v1.1.10, it works fine in standalone mode, but not as a AU.

If I open in Ableton I get this error...

Failed to create the audio unit '********' This Audio Unit Plugin could not be opened.

Any Ideas ? I really love this software.

I'm a bit lost as it is my first Mac. I assume the right path is

HD\Library\Audio\Plugins\VST

It shows ok in Live browser but just errors. I don't know what to do I use the Wavestation alot.

I should say I am not using a dongel and still using challange and response. Do I need an update for that version..is it likely to help?

I'm not quite sure but I though the KLC-1 wasn't Universal Binary? In other words, it won't run natively on a new (Intel) Mac. The standalone version is probably working because Rosetta (the PPC emulator) is picking it up, but the AU might not work through Rosetta.

Etaoin is correct. You need version 1.2.1 of the software to run on Intel Macs. To get there, you must first buy the upgrade to v1.2, then download the free v1.2.1. The upgrade costs $15.

Kind regards.

Thanks alot guys, I had read a similar thread and thought this might be the case.

No wonder info on google seems rare on this, and the korg site for this isn't great at explaining it.

Fingers crossed all goes well with the new license.
