They look really nice speakers, excellent frequency response and power handling (200W continuous) and they have an integral socket for mounting on stands which I think might give even better results when you play live.
What amplifier are you using with them?
Do you use them in your home studio? What's their frequency response like at lower power levels, say quarter power? Sometimes that can be an issue with higher power rated speakers, many designs require you to drive them at least at half rated power to get the full frequency response from them. Then it can be a bit of a problem with neighbours!
PS Did you sell your Pa2x or do you still have it? If so are you using the Pa2x together with the M3?
Best regards,
Rob
Hi Rob,
Nice to hear from you again. I do use them in my home studio NOW, just for monitoring my M3. They sound that much more dynamic than the behringers B2031. For now I've hooked them up with a (listen to this) a crest audio 4801 (extremely heavy and oversized amp). But that's because I just have one spare. I'm planning to buy a lightweight crown XTi2000 for them for live performance. They sound very good on all levels. But extremely good on high levels, with very punchy drums and good bass, dynamic piano's, and I always loved the HF response of EV speakers.
Yes I still have the Pa2xPro, I just made a appointment to replace the defective LED's

The Pa2xPro is the worke horse right now, I'm in the progress of programming the M3 for my live gigs with the band. Untill then the Pa2xPro will do just fine.
I don't use them side by side on stage, it's either one of them. For my trio I'll stick to the Pa2xPro, and for the band I'm switching to the M3-61 with a master keyboard TMK-88. It's got better synth leads, better pop/rock piano's and it's just a better machine for the job. (hey, and it looks better...)
