Restoring factory defaults on an ESX1?
Just got an ESX1 to fill the hole between my Tenori, Kaossilator and KP3.
Before I go nuts writing my own patterns, is there any way to restore factory defaults short of dumping them to smart media before I change anything?

Yeah, Im pretty sure thats the EMX not the ESX.LeilaniLad wrote:Actually, I found the option in the manual. It's in the troubleshooting section. You can reset to factory defaults by turning on the ESX while holding down the SOLO and WRITE keys.
Thanks for your response though guys =).

SM cards are not hard to find!
I got two in January from a seller on ebay.co.uk who is based in Hong Kong, if he'll post to the UK he'll probably post to the Netherlands
a USB card reader that supports SM is a little harder to find, but still not hard.
Or you could use an XD-to-SM adaptor, but I haven't tried that, because I found SM cards easily and didn't need to

I *JUST* bought a 256MB card on ebay for $40 shipped. I was OK with that price...

here's the guy I bought mine from: http://shop.ebay.co.uk/vistan_digital/m.html?_nkw=sm
I got my SM card off the vistan ebay seller an it worked fine. I have a feeling though that the biggest card the esx supports is 128MB. The card reader was a bit of trouble to track down. I bought 2 or 3 cheap ones off ebay that claimed to read them but didn't before eventually finding one in a local retailer for a lot more - http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.store ... iew/XH6315

Yup, that's what the specs say. I haven't tried anything bigger.justmull wrote:I have a feeling though that the biggest card the esx supports is 128MB.
I think I got this one, or one very like it:justmull wrote: The card reader was a bit of trouble to track down.
