Kaossilator (not Kpro) Video: Use ERASE instead of Can

Post by JJP »

I thought before everybody is playing (and arguing) with the Kpro I use the waiting time for my Kpro to make another Kaossilation video. (Just take the little one and make something while waiting/hating for the Kpro)

My video is a little tutorial for creative use of the "erase" function:

In this Tutorial I show how to use the "erase" function instead of the "cancel" function - where the beat stops if you want to return to your fixed layer. Using erase you can morph from layer to layer or go back to your fixed layer on the fly. Nothing really new, just for them who didn't know.

In a nutshell:
After you have fixed a loop you can add a new layer. Using erase you can either erase the new layer without stopping the fixed layer or you can record a new layer while erasing the old. The fixed loop will stay as basis for your performance.
