Original MS-20 Manuals - now in high quality PDF form!

Post by outbackyak »

In an earlier post I said I'd found the original manuals for the MS-20, which are very useful to any iMS-20 owner looking for more info on how to get the best out of the synth.

Those manuals are here http://www.korganalogue.net/korgms/msomans.html Unfortunately most are in bad HTML, not PDF, some of the links are broken, and all in all they aren't the best.

But thanks to some help from a member of another forum, I've now found out how to get the original manuals including the Owner's Manual, the Patch Settings Example Manual (very, very enlightening, especially about the patch bay) and the External Signal Processor Manual (much less useful, because although the ESP is functional on the iMS-20, it's not fully functional since you can't actually feed an external signal into the iMS-20).

All these are in high quality PDF form, beautifully produced, and completely legible, except the ESP manual which is exactly the same PDF as that at the korganalogue site (it's quite legible but it's just a scan of what looks like a document produced on some very primitive early document copying system).

However the PDFs are only available using a slightly dodgy method. Nothing illegal, but not something I would like to post in an open forum. And no, it doesn't involve some ghastly Warez site or file-sharing system.

If any one wants to know the method to get the manuals PM me, and I'll PM you back the method - it is very straightforward.

Cheers!
