|
|
So today I began what seems to be a daunting task of starting to customize the programs and combis in my Kronos. This came up because I was noticing in my normal workflow a desire for an empty bank for EXi and another for HD-1 sounds. So, today I starting working through the programs with the idea of over-writing those I could never imagine really using which aren't also in combi's. By doing this, I could move most or all of one of the factory banks to other locations and give myself two free banks, one EXi and the other HD-1.
The list that was provided by Michel from his PCG reading program has been really helpful so far, but this is still a big job.
What have you guys done in this area? Did you clear out factory programs at all? Compact the banks any? If you've bought Assault, how have you dealt with making room for it? (I'm talking banks not memory for now.)
Thanks for the thoughts!

I may be wrong, but I think if you start moving Programs and banks around, your Combis will not be able to access the patches it needs to sound correct. _________________ Lou |

Unless you somewhat laboriously edit the combi's. That's what I set out to do. I have been successful so far, it's just hard work.
Thanks to Michel's lists, you can easily know what programs are in what combis and therefore which combis to edit.

I dived straight in and programmed/edited nearly 70 presets: copying/mimicking sounds I'd created in Logic for my gigging needs.
I'm population User F & G quite nicely now. _________________ Yamaha SY77 & KX88, SSL Nucleus, Korg Kronos 61, Wavestation A/D, Access Virus B, Roland XP30, DeepMind12D, System 1m, V-Synth XT, Focusrite Red16Line, Unitor 8, Akai S3000 XL, Alesis Quadraverb+, Focal Shape Twins, Full fat iMac, Logic Pro X, ProTools 2021, loadsa plugins.

Did you trash the factory sounds in User F or move them somewhere else?
Thanks!

Are you using User G for EXi or HD-1 programs?
Have you needed to save any of the opposite type? If so, where did you put those?
Thanks

When I read the post title, I was thinking, maybe some blown glass buttons or a nice wooden data wheel! (Seriously, I'm sure I've seen pics of glass knobs somewhere - not just in Ann Summers!) |
