Exactly, if its true, as I predicted in the other OS 1.5 thread - Holding off to coincide with the release of the editor. Very disappointed. _________________ Synth DIY Projects |

I'd really like to upgrade my Ram. That way at the least I can load the entire EX3. My question is this: If it works on the current OS but it's not "officially supported" until OS 1.5 WHERE is the difference other than warranty speak? (I've read they said it voids the warranty if you do it now) IS it assumed the RAM has to be upgraded by a service Center? Is it just a matter of end users aren't "Allowed" to open the machine or is there something larger at play here other than Korg's concern of user competency?
If users are "allowed" to upgrade the RAM on their own, what's the big difference between the current OS that "Works" and the coming OS that's "Officially Supported"? _________________ Korg: KRONOS 73, M50-61, 01W/r

No rush, take your time Korg...back from where i come from they have an old
say: A fast female dog (dont wanna say the word) gives birth only to blind puppies).
We ain't going nowhere, take the time and try to fix issues we have come up with
and some probably that will come in the next few days.
I'd rather have them all fixed then 2GB of useless RAM. _________________ http://www.basaristudios.com

I also rather have a good version than a fastly delivered version. But I only a Kronos for a few weeks, so enough to explorer before the need of an update. _________________

I don't mind waiting a little longer for a quality product, but I think Korg should update their announcement of "mid October" on their website... doesn't look too good for potential customers to see a date that's already passed without making good on it. |

This is what I've seen so far.
http://korg.com/go.aspx?kronos_system_version
Haven't yet read about all of it and since I'm a chicken when it comes trying things like this I'm going to hold off until somebody else can tell me how good it is. _________________ If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!

Sadly, the last paragraph says the end of November. Super silly when you consider the link shows mid October at the top and then November all the way at the bottom. This is my first Korg product but is this the norm with them? |

Erm, doesn't the last paragraph say that the editor is coming Late November and not 1.5 |

I could publish the latest version of PCG Tools as release 1.5 and announce it big....
Sorry just kidding ... guess I will get a lot of hate mail in that case.
I am sure Korg is working hard to get it finished but software is sometimes hard to plan (however updating announcements is not). _________________

Yes ... I hope since they put again a time period, that they thought about it well. Otherwise it would be best to just say: within month(s). _________________

I'm itching to order a 73 and have been waiting till the release of 1.5, thinking that the dealer could install the second GB of RAM under ideal circumstances.
I'm not impatient for the OS update. Korg knows best.
Rather, I'm tired of waiting for a Kronos. So, should I order one now with 2 GB of RAM? |
