Here's a video made by instruments2go and synthesisersUK to demonstrate the Korg Kronos through the power of montage!

The rocky music has been recreated on the Kronos!

obviously the copyright of orignial music/score is owned by EMI Music

enjoy!

Very good! Laughing

Was a bit confused though - looking at the thread title I thought it was going to be a video of someone fitting a new super-quiet high flow fan with a weird product name... Rolling Eyes

Great job man! Nice song to cover also. Very good !

The only thing is perhaps that it sounded bit weak soundwise compared to the original? Is Kronos not able to reproduce thoese sounds from a song from the 80s?

I agree, one of my fav soundtrack songs of all time. I thought is was VERY well done! Took me a moment to realize not the original. I hear the "weak" spots too, but that's mostly some time with production etc. Also, superhuman demo boys be damned the guitars obviously low in the mix cause they don't cut it. Not the guy's fault though. STELLAR job out of the box.

Funny video too!

Vince Dicola use :

Emu Modular
MOOG 55
Emu Bluebox 16 voice
MiniMOOG
Roland Jupiter 8
Oberheim OB-X
Oberheim 8-voice
Yamaha DX 7
Yamaha TX816
Emu Emulator I and II
PPG Wave 2.2
Linn 9000

I think Kronos did a great job

I totally agree, this song is brilliant and i think it contributed a whole lot to the success of Rocky 4, it is genious song writing. Vince Decola should get a prize for this masterpiece, Love the song. This is what a real musician is all about , not the music of today which is totally amatureish!

But still, Kronos is essentially an Oasys which is not a cheap device so i expect it to be able to do a replica of the original quite well which in this case is not unfortunately.

But don't get me wrong , the guy doing the cover did a superb job at recreating the song!

Yes it can ,but Vince Dicola said he use DX7+Oberheim or Jupiter 8 stack in Brass and leads. So it is some work with MOD7+AL1 or polysix.
