Help!! I am obviously not understanding something. I bought the KRS 50 Vintage Keyboards sound library (KARO) and whenI install it, it wipes out all my created sounds in User Bank A. How can I load it into one bank instead of all of them?

Also - how do you install a new EX file? I downloaded one of the demos but have no idea how to install.

Thanks!!! Laughing

One way is to use PCG Tools.

If the OS differes (OS1.5 or OS1.0) then convert the library on the Kronos and use PCG Tools to copy everything wherever you want. Always make a backup.

Steps:
- Backup your current PCG Kronos file
- Load both your Kronos PCG file and the KRS50 PCG file
- If the OS is different (See status bar, click on both PCG files and check if both show OS1.5).
- If not: Load the KRS50 file in your Kronos and save it again. It automatically will use the Kronos' OS format.
- Reload the KRS50 in PCG Tools
- Copy all programs/combi (don't know what the content of KRS50 is)
- Paste the programs/combis in your own PCG file
- Load this in your Kronos.

Dear keybrdguy14

See page 189 of the Op Guide E4 (that came with OS 1.5)

With a relative simple/small file (with only a few banks filled which depend on factory samples), you can do it like this: When you press Load, you can speficy the source and the destination of individual banks of your KRS50.PCG file.

You can check what bank is filled in the KRS50file either by Opening the PCG file on the Kronos, and see which Program and or Combi banks are filled. Or use PCGTools to check this.

When a file uses samples, it's a different story, which maybe/hopefully Michel will cover with PCGTools in the future, but that is not a trivial task...
