Hello Kronos community .

After i tested the Kronos last week, and after doing some research about the board ( watching youtube videos, asking fellow members on this forum specific questions ) , one thing that i forgot to inquire about was the "Mixer view" in sequencer mode .

Can you see the db levels on each track just like you do on a DAW ?

This is somehow important to me if i happen to produce an entire project on the Kronos from start to finish without using a DAW .

Thank you for the help .

I'm afraid the straightforward answer to your question is no.

I also wished there would be a meter, or even a symbol to notify that sounds are active per channel.

The M3 received a similar feature in its V2 update. We can only hope such might be forthcoming in an update for the K!

I've recorded several songs using only my Kronos and So far haven't run into any problems not having level meters but I'm used to just using my ears. Old school I guess. I haven't found any problems with running my levels maxed out but I have had to adjust my input levels when recording guitar and especially bass. Meters and activation lights would certainly help though.

I definately agree that it needs meters and hope this will be something that Korg adds to a future update....soon. They could also have optional pictoral symbols indicating intruments because (for me) the font is so freakin small. That being said, I think you should be able to rename the tabs to whatever you deem appropriate or be able to hide them as well...since there are some I'm sure I'll never even use.

I really enjoy using the KRONOS sequencer, and would be very appreciative of some of the features available on the upgraded m3. Channel meters and better automation controls would be wonderful. In retrospect, I think the kronos encourages me to get away from the computer and in retrospect I think I would prefer an updated sequencer to an editor of limited utility (for me).

OASYS users also requested this feature for a long time, though it never came ...

True, it would adequate the kronos/OASYS sequencer to the nowdays stadard, improving its workflow.
