My phone is a HTC Evo 3D. Great phone, but it has a bit of lag on the touchscreen, making it unusable as an instrument.
I tried a metronome, drumpad app and even a synth app, but I can't seem to play it properly because of a small delay.
Does anyone else have this issue ? _________________ Old gig setup: Yamaha S90, Roland Fantom XR, Hammond XM-1, M-Audio Axiom 61

I have also a lag when touching the display although I thought it might be the slow hardware (I have a Sony Ericson Arc S) _________________

The lag was the main reason I dumped my HTC and went screaming back to Apple. |

I have to admit I don't mind the lag but for using it as an instrument a touchscreen is not really ideal anyway ... lag or no lag.
And for any other application I use I don't mind a bit lag (almost unnoticable). _________________

The lag doesn't bother me at all, it's hardly noticable indeed. But when you try a drum pad or some other synth you'll notice it.

I like my HTC a lot. For me personally, Android is just perfect for my phone. OK, it doesn't work well as an instrument, but why choose ? I have an iPod Touch to do my bidding!

Have one too, (in mine) the thouchscreen has (developed) a will of it's own, very annoying.
Kind Regards,

Touchosc, or something like it - and a number of variations on that theme.
RD3 - cool groovebox setup.
That's about it that I found. High amounts of latency and the varied hardware for this platform make it far from ideal for music software development. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,
