cannot save global setting

Post by syah »

My setup changed lately and I now have to make the TR rack a wordclock slave. Everything works flawless, as long as the global setting "System clock" is set to "Digital I/F". My challenge is: how do I store this global setting??

I try to do this: change the setting to "Digital I/F", click 'write', click 'yes', followed by another 'yes'. The display shows me that the setting is being written. The are no erros being displayed.So far, so good. But when I turn the device off and back on, the 'System clock' is back to 'Internal' :(

What am I doing wrong here? Or is it a known issue?

Could it be that it reverts automatically when no external wordclock is sensed upon power-up?

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, that could possibly be the the case. My RME UFX is the wc-master. RME HDSP 9652 is slaved to the UFX. The TR rack is wc slave to the HDSP, so that makes this the complete chain:
UFX -> HDSP -> TR.

Both RME cards are already in sync before I turn on the TR. Could the problem be that the HDSP, being a slave itself, does not send out the WC yet because it detects the TR too late? Is there anyone on this list that has a similar wordclock chain in his/her setup?
