Just recieved my KronosX service manual from parts is parts
Hi everyone
Parts is parts is selling the kronos/KronosX service manual. I've just received mine via email.
http://www.guitar-parts.com/catalog/kor ... -svkronosx
It's 74 pages compared to the original Kronos having 52 pages, only costs $15 for delivery via email (I had to add CDROM delivery but they contacted me and offered to email it and refund the postage which they did)
Interesting it does mention two different keybeds, you can select "Normal" or "KDP1" (with KDP2 reserved for future use)
Anyway, I've bought it, if you want it you can also buy it, please do not ask me to give you a copy of something I've bought that's available for sale as I wont do it.
A few weeks ago Parts is Parts told me they are not allowed to sell Korg Service manuals for Korgs current products. So that means one of three things
1) They lied or have since been told different by Korg
2) They've made a mistake again and are not supposed to be selling the X service manual
3) Kronos is no longer a current product ??????????
I suspect option 2 is most likely.
best
Joe

I'll take a KDP2 if it's a 73 key semi-weightedOjustaboo wrote: Interesting it does mention two different keybeds, you can select "Normal" or "KDP1" (with KDP2 reserved for future use)

That's why I was a bit selfish in ordering it last week and not publicising the link until after I received the manual today as last time the original Kronos service manual was linked to on here, korg got them to stop selling it almost immediately.
It's a shame as there's a lot more info in this one including how to change the original MB to the improved one.
I assume that you are going to do the right thing and delete the manual from your computer, right?Ojustaboo wrote:![]()

Kronosx service manual
The Kronosx service manual was listed by mistake as available for sale, and removed from the site when this error was discovered. As I have always received excellent service from parts is parts, I belive they are telling the truth.
Good for you Joe....at least it'll be an useful reference for the future.
Just a point of interest, the KDP1 is for keybeds that have had the rubber contacts replaced, together with its system revision etc.
This can be found during the test and is selectable...but I wouldn't advise anyone to change it !
Best Wishes.

My gmail email account had problems receiving the file (about 22MB) and I contacted 3 different email addresses at parts is parts over the last week.
Bearing in mind one was the same address that got back to me promptly a few weeks ago saying they couldn't sell me the Kronos service manual, I would have thought someone there would have realised they also shouldn't be selling the KronosX manual either.
I suspect when the error was discovered was when either someone at Korg read this thread and contacted them or it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if one of the few self righteous korg owners on this forum read this thread and thought it their moral duty to deprive other Kronos users of the manual.
Could have saved myself $15
