electribe2 Clock Mode = Internal not transmitting USB

Post by Steinberger »

When set to Internal it's only transmitting clock sync and control over MIDI Out jack and nothing out over USB. I can set it to Auto and it will pickup another clock master and slave to it over USB however.

I have it connected to a iConnectMIDI4+ (class compliant host) and I'm wondering if it might have to do with the fact I'm unable to use the Korg Windows driver.

Did you try with the latest Ver.1.15 r8 (japanese only at the moment) USB drivers?

The installer and UI are japanese, but the electribe2 installs itself ok, and Live acknowledges "electribe2 1 PAD/KNOB" as MIDI input and "electribe2 1 SOUND" for MIDI output.

Sorry I probably wasn't clear. The iConnectMIDI4+ is a standalone MIDI interface that hosts class compliant USB instruments. There is no Windows PC involved. I'm going to try some different setups and see if I can get it to sync. Might be a configuration issue with the iConnect

So clock sync via the CCK to an iPad works fine. It appears that the electribe2 and iConnect aren't playing nice with each other. Funny that note and program change info is transmitted via USB just fine and everything is received fine as well.

I've only got experience with KP3 and iCM4+ ,not E2,but the KP works fine over USB midi including clock- without the need for korg midi driver.
I was thinking the driver is only used to interface with an operating system ie if you use windows you need a korg/windows USB/midi driver?
Hope this helps as there doesn't seem to be many iCM4 & E2 users around here right now..
