Yes that's correct with the older tribes. (at least I can confirm that for the EA, ES, ER. Never used the X series so don't know about those). To be honest exporting to Ableton isn't my priority, what I expect from the new Electribe is to be able to use it sequence 16 channels of MIDI for my external gear in live sets.
