Korg provide the hosting, but this isn't korg's own support forum - so I wouldn't go expecting a direct answer from them here anytime soon: Who owns / maintains the Korg Forums website The site is owned by James Tubbritt of Irish Acts Recording Studio, known as forum user " Sharp". KORG USA kindly ...

I'm no expert, but there's no talk of memories, let alone a song mode. http://www.korg.com/us/products/dj/sq_1/ It reads like it just gives you 2 x 8 steps, which can be chained as a 16 step sequencer or played in various other modes eg having 2 x 8 step sequencers sending 2 parameters at the same ...

I've done that on a mac running ableton live. I connected the midi out of my usb midi interface to the midi in on the volca, and the headphone out on the volca to the audio in on my usb audio interface. In ableton's preferences, I went into "midi sync", and added my midi interface as an output. In ...

I've finally had a reply on this: Unfortunately it seems that this function was not correctly implemented in the current released firmware – please accept our apologies for this. The good news is that this issue has already been fixed and we plan on making a firmware upgrade available very soon, ...

I'm not sure, but there's an in-app purchase for a module that allows controllers to be remapped which makes it sound like that might be possible to remap a note to cc43. It says this: Easily filter or remap all types of controllers like CCs, Pitchbend, Notes, etc. to different types and alter their ...

Powering multiple volcas from one power supply
Thought I'd share this as it's working for me. I'm using a 1500mA regulated multi-voltage adaptor (centre positive) which I bought locally for around £8 - set to 9v. I couldn't find any 1.7mm splitters, so I bought these from ebay: A 1-to-4 way cctv power splitter - 5.5mm x 2.1mm - £1.80 delivered: ...

Trigger vSample parts by note not channel: MidiFlow App
The vSample maps each part to a midi channel and accepts any note on that channel as a trigger for that part. That makes it a pain in sequencers that require a separate track for each midi channel - eg cubasis. That eats up tracks and makes it harder to visualise a pattern. There's a useful little ...

I know with my behringer mixer, if I use a 3.5mm stereo jack to 1/4" stereo jack then the volume is really low and really noisy. It has to be mono 1/4" jacks into the mixer for it to work properly (well, I can get by by catching it sort of half way in the socket, but that's far from ideal) For the ...

in terms of audio output, on full volume with a pair of standard apple first gen earphones, the volume is too loud to be comfortable. all the volcas have a degree of background noise - on my bass it's noticeable if I listen for it, but it's not intrusive. All my volcas came with the sync in a little ...

Depends on what you're trying to achieve. The volcas each come with a 3.5mm jack which can be used to sync to another volca. A mixer gives you a lot of control, but if it's just a hobby then the belkin rockstar may work well enough for you - that has a built in 3.5mm jack which you could plug into ...
