You may want to post this in the pa3x forum. It'll get more views there.

I've never really used midi files much. How difficult is it to get good, quality midi files for songs?

I owned a T4, own a PA900 and will no doubt own a PA4X in the future. I really miss SA2. I think the technology behind DNC is good and I like how you can really tinker with the sound, but the samples Yamaha plus the engineering they've put into lining those samples up really shows in the instrument ...

I think it is okay to be disappointed, but yeah, being angry about it is a bit much. I think every keyboard release is met with a bit of "WTF?" and a bit of "that sounds nice". Personally, I'd like to see Korg make an arranger that has a similar theme to the Kronos in that it starts with a PC ...

I hear you Reuben. I have just listened to the demos on sound cloud. Where did the 10x pcm go ???? Just a guess, but I think they put the Krome grand piano or something similar on it. The Krome had a huge chunk of PCM memory compared to other romplers around that same market segment, but most of it ...

It mentions the 76 coming with a hard drive. If it's not an SSD, then it will at the very least be a 500 GB.

Yeah, I'm very curious on how well the MIDI conversion to a style works. I can see how easier songs wouldn't be difficult to breakdown into an intro, verse, chorus, bridge and use different variations for each, but I wonder how it might do it on a more complicated song.

Here's a new demo in French. Just a good job of demonstrating sounds.

PA4X videos and sound clips

I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that actually hearing the pa4x in action is one of the most important things. I thought I'd start a thread dedicated to any posted videos or sound clips of it in action. Hopefully some of the music stores will be coming out with demos soon. Official Korg ...

Kraft Music has the 61 at $3,799 and the 76 at $3,999. The 76 comes with an internal drive I believe.

exactly - i will never upgrade, unless the PA4x comes with: 1. 64 bit processor 2. able to handle more that 4 GB of sample RAM Looking at the current smart phone technology, a $200 phone has 64 bit snapdragon processor and 4 GB ram.. Why can't Korg do that? Why are they still sticking with age old ...

Control the Chord Sequencer With a MIDI Foot Controller?

I have a feeling this is simply impossible, but after asking in the PA900 forum, I thought I'd give the PA3X forum a shot since the mechanism would probably be the same. Has anyone had any success with controlling the Record and Play features of the chord sequencer via MIDI? I bought a KM SoftStep 2 ...

Play an Entire Chord Progression with SoftStep 2

While I've been unable to control the chord sequencer with the KM SoftStep 2 (I think controlling the sequencer from an external device might simply be impossible), I did figure out a pretty neat trick with it. The KM SoftStep 2 gives you 6 "modlines" per foot switch. You can think of a modline as a ...

I don't think it is a matter of getting the two PC messages at the exact same time. You wouldn't be able to press the buttons on the Korg at the exact same time. One will always be a little early. Also, I programmed the foot pedal to have one switch for 100 and one for 99 and pressing both at the ...

Okay, maybe what I'm trying to do here simply isn't possible, but I thought I'd ask just in case. I'm trying to control the chord sequencer with the pedal, but it seems to be a bit hardcoded to the buttons. Sending a PC 100 and PC 99 simultaniously doesn't engage the chord sequencer, it simply turns ...
