Wavestation - parameter saving / recall in Ableton
Hi all, Been doing a lot of work with the Wavestation VST lately. Lovely synth, but the labyrinthine system for saving presets (essentially having to save EVERY wave sequence / patch / performance and then externally save the FXB of the RAM every time you make a change) is a bit of a workflow ...

Wavestation blank/init patch
Hello all, Currently learning how to program the Wavestation Legacy and making some progress... Does anyone have a blank/init patch they can send me? It's a huge pain to have to edit existing patches... I feel I'd learn far more if I could build up from an empty patch than having to pull apart the ...

Re: An Idea RE Sync!
Instead of triggering the samples, how about triggering THE SYNC itself... is there a way to send a midi message form the sequencer (the EMX-1 in this case) that will activate the ALIGN button/function? That's a bloody good idea, but unfortunately I believe that the ALIGN function is one of the few ...

This is the one thing that I would change in a heartbeat about the KP3. Seems to me it would be fairly simple to implement as well - just add an option so that if the KP3 receives a MIDI "start" message it triggers the Align function. That way, everything locks onto the beat. Simple! Maybe we should ...

Trade: my ES1mk2 for your ER1mk2
Hello everyone, I'm interested in trading my Korg ES-1 mk II sampling drum machine for the Korg ER-1 mk II rhythm synth. It includes a 64mb memory card and USB reader. The line input is slightly temperamental on the ES1, but it's actually much easier to load samples from the computer using the ...

This DOES work... off the top of my head, you have to go into External Control mode, where you can assign any of the pads or buttons to send a start/stop/continue message (might have to use the KP3 Editor program to do this). Once this is done, when you want to start your external gear you go into ...

Hi Zedius, Thanks for your reply! I have experimented with Mode 3, and got better results than previously, but it's still not quite what I'm looking for - what I mean is that when you're in External Control mode, sending a "Start" command to MIDI gear, it would be nice if it automatically aligned at ...

Auto align please!
If only there was an "auto align" function on the KP3, it would allow me to throw out all my other drum machines, sequencers etc. It's so frustrating! I write music using a sequencer that runs on a Nintendo Gameboy cartridge called Nanoloop, which is used to make 16-step loops. Using a custom cable ...

Without wishing to drag this thread too off-topic... Decrepitude - I did actually try that a while ago, and it worked pretty well - however, I was talking about circumstances when you'd be using the KP3 as MIDI master (in this case, the KP3 sending clock signals to my Gameboy). It would be useful if ...

Some sort of auto align feature would be great when using the internal MIDI clock to drive other gear. It would be really great if (when in Ext Ctrl mode) when you send a START Midi message to other gear, that automatically gets locked as the downbeat so sampled loops play perfectly in sync. At the ...

ES-1 MkII time slice
Hi all, I've just bought an ES-1 MkII on Ebay. I'll probably just be using it to make beats, but I have a small question regarding the time slice function... What's the maximum length of loop I can load into it? Is it anything within the 90sec sampling time? The reason I ask is that one of my tracks ...

Korg ES1 / ES1mk2 - MIDI thru question
Hi all, Couldn't find an answer to this elsewhere so was wondering if you could help me... I make music using a drum machine and two MIDI-sync'ed Gameboys. I'm considering replacing the drum machine with either an ES1 or an ES1mk2. The Gameboys sync to MIDI clock signals and start/stop messages. I ...
