bnckd, you're First problem may be polyphony. Try giving some tracks high priority... Second problem is with stereo sample (they take two parts vs mono.),,

I think the term arranging would be a better word choice than sequencing. There was a discussion about using the E2S export wave feature and arranging the loops in a daw to get around the pattern change glitches on the machine. Which I have no problem with, as the actual programming would be done ...

Did you even try to find out on your gear? Shift and record, then press the right arrow button twice. In other words it's a window when resampling.

I guess I'd be pretty comfortable officially starting with all the replies so far! So i'll update the original post after work, in case anyone new pops in. The rules for the first contest shall be as follows! Only 1 synth waveform (although you may choose any waveform you like) No use of PCM ...

:? I am confused by this request to not adhere to the third rule. Sequencing does not need to be done live on the Korg samplers. It's none of my business I suppose, but isn't the point of the contest to use one of the Korg samplers, and not a DAW? -7zark7 Same. Can I chop the samples initially in ...

Maybe check that the card doesn't have anything else but the OS on it? Doubt it's a corrupt file though seeing as it malfunctions with no card as well... Contact your dealer to let them know the problem exists, they have more say with korg than anyone. Deff contact korg. I really hope this problem ...

Can you be a bit more clear what the actual problem is? Is it not powering up? Not saving or loading? Powering up without an os? Are you updated to 1.06os? Have you tried updating is to 1.06 again if so?... this forum rocks, the more descriptive you are, the more help you'll get here.

Such a scary post to read on the last day of my es2's return policy... Best of luck, as of yet the documentation from korg is minimal at best. If you have the option, swap for a new one wherever you bought it, or sent it back as a faulty unit? I know it's probly the first thing you checked, but does ...

Truncate for the sampler. Why is nobody requesting truncate?
And a 'copy/paste to new' feature in sample edit mode so we can sample a drum break and then easily chop into new samples, the time slice doesn't always have the chop points covered.
even my sub $100 Akai MPX8 has consistent pads. It just seems like if it's not one thing it's another with these units.
Don't get me wrong, I'd be pissed if I had the experience that some have had with korg, or the electribe, or akai(I have seen what the mpx16 delivered @ 200$ and ...

Diving through this forum serves as an ongoing comparison between those two. Just look around. They are different. You might regret selling your esx for ONE feature not covered by the new tribes.... Maybe not. Do yourself a favor and don't sell anything you even remotely enjoy using.

Wow. It's a shame what Korg has done to the Electribe legacy. I was on the fence about picking up the sampler but after reading this thread no f*ck*ng way. If you don't expect an absurd amount out of a sub 500$ piece of gear.... Go to a physical dealer make sure you're pads are ok before you ...
