If it takes time and learning to get the most out of an instrument with limitations and faults, personally I don't think that means it's a bad instrument. It's just a challenge. I don't think that the Electribes are really a competitor to the Novation seeing as the Circuit is kind of a "bump into ...

Found out answer, thought I'd share
Hi, I found the answer to my own question and thought I'd share for anyone else who might need this feature in the future. It is explained quite well on this page: http://forum.novationmusic.com/forums/bass-station-ii/first-beta-firmware-update-and-librarian-installer But I'll have a go at it too ...

Midi tempo sync with Bass Station II Volca Sample
Hi, I have searched all over the net to find out if it is possible to: Bass Station II Midi out to... Volca Sample Midi in And control the tempo of the Volca with the tempo of the Bass Station II as master. I don't want the Bass Station to trigger notes on the Volca, just control the tempo. I can't ...

Under Global Parameter on the e2: Set the global MIDI channel to a different number. Global MIDI channel is where your program changes are sent to. If the slaved device is on another channel, it won't receive them - BSII won't changes patches on you. Example: If you're controlling BSII on Channel 1 ...

Electribe Sampler/Bass Station II Slave Midi Setup
Hi, I have the ES2 set up controlling the Novation Bass Station 2. On the default settings, the 1st pad on the ES2 is the midi track for the BS2, and the BS2 can be easily played using this setting via the ES2 keypad. However, when I change Pattern 1 on the ES2, for example, to Pattern 2, the BS2 ...

The global audio thru and the OSC Audio Input are two different things. If you want the signal to just pass through the unit unchanged, use the Audio Thru option. If you want to effect your incoming audio, turn off Thru and select the audio input OSC type. Make sure you turn up the OSC edit knob ...

Part Audio In: Is the part modifiable or just audio thru?
I can't find anything in the instructions or online. I'm using a Volca Keys audio in and sync out to Volca, and then using the part on Electribe Sampler "Audio in Mono". It seems that the audio from the Volca is just going straight thru the Electribe without the ability to modify the sound ...

Re: "0rdinary" Loops on Electribe Sampler
Hi all, I understand the loop feature for loop samples and how it works, but is there really no way to simply choose any sample and instantly loop it like on the volca sample? I mean just a simple button that you press that makes a sample play over and over repeatedly for as long as you hold down ...

One more thing you could try - the start point knob of the electribe turns into an additional gain knob when the Audio In osc is chosen. Try using this to get some more boost out of it. So first you set your input level with the Audio In knob to something desirable and then you essentially get two ...

I think I forgot a crucial step. In the sampler's menus (I believe it's in the Global parameters menu) you can turn the Audio In on or off. I think it defaults to off. Check that out because I think this is why you're not hearing anything. Yeah, thanks, I already had that turned on. I'm guessing ...

Not working...
OK, so first I bought an XLR to 3.5mm adapter, and tried to record with my dynamic mic, I'm not sure if it was an impedance issue or what but, no sound. So then, I returned that and bought a computer "Skype" cheapie mic with a 3.5mm connector, nope, no sound. But when I run a sample from my mobile ...
