For the record, Monotribes are weird with their connections. Some otherwise perfectly fine mini jack cables don't work for syncing, and some other mini jack cables don't work on the audio in. If anything on the Tribe don't work, first thing to try is different cables.

Yes, awesome right? And of course it works both ways. Using a trigger out on only the 1 beat of a drummachine you get a 64 bars!

Couldn't you tap the speaker output and make it into a line signal?

If the speaker doesn't have the problem, that's good news. The problem is somewhere at the end. If it persists when you use batteries, it's not a grounding problem, and you probably have tried different headphones, but- maybe the noise is only on the left or right channel? In that case use one side ...

If some pitches are very high some low you're probably somehow changing the Octave knob/function. Are you hooked up to MIDI?
What happens if you make a sequence of 16 the same notes? It still happens?

Or is your LFO maybe on pitch mode? ;)

Wait, then couldn't we also do this somehow with a MIDI keyboard, no software? :o

Is this with the speaker or on the headphone out?

And I suppose any hum affected by the LFO is from earlier in the signal path.
