Sorry, I never heard of Kromatic. I am not adept at the deeper programming such as multimsamples.

Yes, that is unfortunate. It's too bad Korg is not standing by their products because it seems a lot of people on the forum have been compaining about problems with the Krome. On the other hand, I wonder if some of the problems may be caused by bad electrical circuits. I have a tester that I plug ...

Just noticed that the link doesn't work anymore. That was where I got it in the past. I would suggest you email Korg directly and ask them to email you the image file.

No. It still takes full minute for the Krome to start. I felt the pianos sounded better, but others didn't think so. I definitely noticed a big difference in the piano sounds. As for the sd card, I bought the Sandisk class 10 8 gb microsdisk on Amazon. I can't say that the 16 gb would work because I ...

Here is the link I was given which will have the image file on it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4lll0iq6fo84gw4/Image.imgc?dl=0 Download the file to your computer. Format the new microdisk card (FAT 32). Make sure the microdisk is a Class 10, 8 gb. Use HDD Raw Copy Tool to decompress the Image.imgc ...

You can create combis with different key transpositions by first creating the voice(s) for the combi, then pressing the page button. Next press P3 Timbre Param on the screen. Touch the tab on the bottom labeled Pitch 1-8. Then, for each of the timbres you are using in that combi, change the ...

I too found that I didn't like the brass sounds on the Krome, but I took a chance and purchased the Power Horns by KApro download from the Shop Korg Krome website, and was finally able to create an acceptable brass combi using those sounds together with some of the brass and woodwind sounds that ...

Some posters have said the problem is a bad motherboard while others found that the internal microdisk installed by the factory wasn't fast enough to properly make the piano sounds with the damper pedal being used. If you bought the Krome when they first came out, Korg used a class 4 microdisk when ...

Go to the first page of the Korg Krome forum and you will find the thread titled, Help, I accidently erased the Korg Krome Internal SD card. I found that the Grand Piano Sound improved when I changed the internal microdisk that was factory installed as opposed to the SD slot back panel. I used a Sandisk 8 gb, class 10, 70 mbs microdisk. There is a set of procedures you have to follow to prepare the micro disk before installing it into ...

I bought mine in 2015 so I am guessing that they figured they had a problem with the motherboard and manufactured better ones. Also, sometimes companies manufacture components from different countries or different factories so quality is not always the same. In any case, you're right that Korg ...

I never had problems with the Korg except that the Korg Grand Piano sounded awful until I installed a faster micro disk. Did you buy the Krome when it first came out? I would guess the Korg addressed the problems found in the forums as they manufactured more over time without helping those who ...

I noticed a big difference from before the new disk. I use a Traynor K4 keyboard amp which has an EQ selector knob. One of the settings on the knob is for "piano", but I set it to "live" because I use a lot of different sounds at a gig. The Traynor K4 is a great amp for keyboard although it weighs ...
