you can´t do it your EMX doesn´t save any AUDIO file at all It just save the programming data for songs, patterns, synths and FX settings...NO AUDIO also it´s all in a propietary format, nothing that a common program could open maybe someone could reverse engineering the file and develope a software ...

EMX synthesis is both simple and deep at the same time maybe is the better synth you can get who has both things in so great balance the simplicity is good to make your ideas sound with no delay...also for experimentation on the fly the deepness is enought to make the machine sounds ir really ...

for sampling while playing upgrade to an sp-555...it can sample/loop on the fly the only korg machines who can sample and loop are the kaoss pad series but the sampling capabilities are limited...they´re just fx processors with touchpad screen control of fx parameters and some looper capabilities ...

I was looking for the EMX ROM sample pack on a bunch of my 2007 backup DVDs, but I dont found it yet

I remember getting it from some guy on emule...I don´t know how it was extracted but it have all the drums and instruments samples, even the ones that are multisamples...

I don´t think korg designed both machines so different to get such a big difference between them... If you got the EMX ROM samples loaded into the ESX I bet both machines will sound almost identically... The EMX ROM samples are available somewhere in the net...I don´t remember where but it´s not ha ...

well, it isn´t a lexicon but some things like the chorus, phaser, delay, decimator, ring modulation and even the distortion and the compressor (to some things) works very well...

if you route a part to output 3/4 you can´t use the FX processors on this part

You need to activate one of the Keyboard Parts and assign a sample to it as well before that works. Also make sure the keyboard is not set to a low octave so the sample is pitched way down. So how do i get the assign sample to play a range of notes when i play the pattern? do you see the black keys ...

Both machines are really good at what they do, it might be easier if you describe your style and workflow and what you'd like the music to sound like. Easier just to recommend one machine that way :) What I like is experimental, DnB, minimal techno, that kind of music ... (I use Live7 and NIs ...

yes, the loop points that you set in sound forge saves as metadata in the .wav file and the ESX recognized them as loop points as well...so you can add transients to your cicles in order to get a different attack than the sustained loop this is specially good for acoustic instruments or synth ones ...

did you have the MIDI note numbers correctly assigned?
