Single sample edits disappear from the saved MS
I am trying to create a MS with some edited samples that require a reverse of the sample on certain key assignments. I can get to, in Sampling Mode, where I can edit and hear the desired effect using the Loop Edit tab for the sample, complete with reverse and edited start and end time changes. But ...

Thanks, that was an idea I had not tried. Unfortunately it didn’t seem to make a difference. I just wonder if there is an AMS setting in the common step sequencer that would perhaps retrigger the pattern at the start of a the internal clock in sequencer mode. I can’t imagine there is nothing to sync ...

Common step sequencer sync problem
Hi folks. I have some step sequencer patterns in various programs that work beautifully as a solo sound, until I try to use them in sequencer mode Recording. The tempo of the patterns match whatever tempo I’m using in my song, but when I record, the start of the pattern does not align with the start ...

So to answer my own question, it appears that envelope parameters can be applied to a MS when added as an oscillator in program mode. While I haven’t tried it yet, this demo makes it pretty clear (at the very end).

Sample and multisample envelope shaping?
Hey folks, Trying to crack a Sampling mode egg... I understand how to create a multisample to index numerous sample files for performance. Trouble is I can’t figure out how to shape the envelopes, e.g. attack and release. I use a lot of sampled stabs and hits that need some “smoothing” on either end ...

Using a compression or limiter effect might produce the desired result. The song audio in the youtube video doesn't sound much like sidechain. . Right except that the definition of “sidechain” in my question refers to any pair of channels involving an effect. The term has become synonymous with EDM ...

Gate sidechain process?
Hi I am trying to figure out how to sidechain the gate effect where the audio from say, a drum track, gates a pad that I'm playing on another track. This would be the inverse of compression sidechaining, where the synth output mirrors the beat rather than being "tufted" by it. I understand how to ...

Kronos audio playback and output routing
Hey good people… I am considering investing in the Kronos for live gigging purposes, but need some advice first. I produce and run a lot of backing tracks for our band, including a click track to our drummer’s ear. Our current set up is using Ableton Live on an older Macbook Pro to run the backing tr ...
