It’s feasible… Check the available capacity on your hard drive. If nothing else has changed, and you have plenty of available free disk space, voip may have nailed it. Fortunately the process is simple and straightforward, if one has a modicum of tech skills and the ability to operate a screwdriver. ...

Not entirely sure of the end objective, but I’ll throw this out in case it helps… it is a post from a thread in the Kronos forum which might be applicable: Did you "Save Sampling Data" in Disk Mode (Page Menu Commands in the "Save" tab)? This is likely the issue, based on my growing pains. The sam ...

You are saving the Program after configuring the samples, correct?

You are then saving the PCG data, correct?

What are you trying to accomplish? You may not need to perform a factory restore procedure, if you are merely wanting to restore the default Programs and Combi’s.

In case you’re not aware, the original PCG should be present in the Factory directory, and you can load data directly from that file.

There are a lot of stylus pointers available in places like Amazon… I bought one with a soft holder and have it attached to my Kronos above the buttons to the right of the LCD.

Very useful in instances as you describe.

Sure. To be clear, it’s still an ‘effect’, but as you noted it isn’t an Insert Effect (IFX). Again to be clear, this is merely a CX-3 Program you’re working with? If so, you will see the image of the Leslie cabinet on the main page - you can tap that image to take you directly into the pages containi ...

Depending on the engine, you need to go into the effect to set the value, then save the Program. If you are working on a Combi, you’ll need to set and save the control in the associated Program.

Alternatively, you can use the Rec/Write button to save the Setlist (when in Setlist mode). This also works for Programs and Combi’s when in those modes.

Well, as it is a 32 bit OS that is a challenge with a finite limit. There’s a couple of tricks which can help get around the physical limitation. Have you stripped out extraneous entries in your default KSC file? That is likely a good place to start… if you don’t use many(any) drums, for instance, th ...

There are three elements of ‘capacity’ - memory (RAM), disk space, and Program/Combi bank slots. So far it is unclear to me which of these you wish to address. There are means to address all of them in one manner or another, but we need to be clear on which issue you’re encountering.

Are you saying that you have no open banks? You likely need to install the libraries in alternate banks rather than the default, else you may need to use a utility like PCG Tools to move and consolidate some of your Programs and Combi’s.

There is no “Save All” file… the Save-All function creates a series of files containing most of the Kronos-specific data (PCG/SMP/SEQ/etc.). Note that not all Global settings are saved in the PCG - those would need to be manually set… most notable are the KSC Autoload configuration. You will want to ...

Here’s a link to a post I made in the Kronos forum outlining the process to create a Program from a WAV sample: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=120429&highlight=manage+ksc Once you’ve got the Program you can add it to a Combi. You can decide whether to latch the sample or not, ...
