Thanks for the replies. My samples are primarily of sounds other than musical instruments, for instance a looped bird sound or a looped engine sound (short duration, usually 1-3 seconds). I want to make songs in the Kronos sequencer primarily based on my samples and some Korg drum patterns.

I would like to sync a few samples to be on beat with a certain drum pattern.
I guess there are a number of ways to do this on the Kronos - which method(s) to do you recommend?

Sorry, my description was a bit faulty, actually I can hear all 4 programs, but they are all on the same key (C2 on my 61) - since they are only subtly different from each other I did not realise that all programs played together on the same key - ---- oh well.. On my Kronos 2 I have made 4 programs based on 4 single samples (ripped from CD - convert MS to program). They all load and play back fine in program mode.
