Locking a controller surface in reason means you are using the device as only a control surface, not a keyboard. :( Dissappointing isn't it. That is why the knobs only work, because reason thinks its just a bunch of knobs and faders.

Read the manual if you don't already know how to program the NNXT or NN19 samplers. You can easily do what you are wanting by cranking up the release on the samples after loading them into the sampler. PadKontrol Knob Resolution

For some reason my PadKontrol sends midi values 0, 4, 8, 12, etc. when I slowly turn the knobs. I noticed this when tweaking a filter with the res turned up.
