It's a great feature that the forum actually sends you an E-mail when you have a reply on a post 8) Of course I cannot give any guarantees, but I would say that with patience you can do it - I also very much recomend you to get some kind of grounding solution while working with the keyboard. Like ...

I guess my "tutorial" could be a bit more detailed. I'm an electronic engineer working with PCB and flatcables every day, so sometimes I mistakely asumes that everyone knows how to handle that. Well as I remember, all cables need to come off. Flat cables are actually very durable as long as you ...

Thanks! There is a RS-component store just a few miles from my office, so I'll go buy the lamp later today. I'll give the replacement it a shot this evening. I'll take some pics and let you all know how it goes. Is there anything to be especially careful about? I read what Maxextreme wrote in your ...

So a little update... Got a wild idea today - maybe the backlight was supplied AC instead of DC which was what I was measuring. When I got home from work I tried it, and indeed there is ~60V AC on the cables. So this means only one thing. I have to change the screen :o( Unless anybody has experience ...

Thanks for the reply! I just tried to open the TEX and see if there was any obvious faults. The backligt is driven by a board named KLM-2479, and measuring the output for the backlight with power on the TEX, there is no power on the connector. I did a google on that, and found this link to the Korg ...

But when finally turning it on this morning, after standing in my basement for a couple of months without beeing used, it is ...

In general you can sync two TEX machines, so one plays only ½ the notes. This in effect does nothing else than doubble your polyphony. I think you need to tell us a little more about exactly what you aim at here. Do you want the EMX 1 to control the TEX or opposite? do you want the TEX to sync the ...

Problems with old DS-8

I've just got my hands on a korg DS8, but it generate some very bizarre sounds, and nothing makes sense of the display characters. The initial boot screen is ok, but after that nothing works. According to this link: http://soundprogramming.net/synthesizers/korg/korg_ds_8 The DS8 can go into a ...

Re: Korg Triton EXB-MOSS versus Clavia Nordlead??

Hi all, Just wondering how MOSS does compare to a Clavia Nordlead ? Can MOSS recreate Nordlead sounds ? Did someone of you manage to get similar sounds to the Nordlead one (bass, pads, leads)? Regards, In principle you should be able to recreate the sounds of the NL with the MOSS. If you have the ...

If your focus are on pure sound quality and huge synth leads - why not check out the K2661??? It is a great sounding synth, but that small screen and the menu diving gets annoying after awhile......believe me! The biggest disappointment for me was: when I bought the K2661, I was told there were ...

Well eibbor didi you get anything yet? I would just kick in another suggestion here. It doesn't seem like you require a lot of "workstation" features. Like sequencer or arpegiator. If your focus are on pure sound quality and huge synth leads - why not check out the K2661??? They have a small screen ...
