If your MS is out of warranty, and you're handy with a soldering iron, you could also solder wires directly to the circuit board at the sampling button contacts and have them come out of the casing and attach them to a standard footswitch, or more elegantly, put a small socket in the MS casing and ...

OK I've been playing with it and the buttons don't respond as such in Global mode. In External mode they act as controllers, not program buttons. But it's been easy enough to just program into the sequencer control change messages to operate what the buttons can be programmed to operate anyway - I ...

KP3 and Program buttons 1-8 extenal MIDI control
I'm trying to control the 8 buttons via MIDI with a sequencer. Basically I have stored in them different programs with other thing set like key, fx etc. I want to be able to call up each of these scenes remotely. Apparently they respond to CC message numbers 49-57. What I did was start my sequencer ...

I am aware of that (same deal with the KP3). In this case I'm not needing the external synth to control the KPro MIDI note, you would run the synth audio out into the KPro unit to modulate the vocals instead of the KPro internal synth. I hoped maybe you could run the vocals mic in one input of the ...

KP3 and vocoder control
Can the KP3 vocoder also take an external synth audio source for control of the vocoder note pitch while using a mic to do the speech control? We want to be able to control the pitch via a sequenced synth so that all we do is play a sequencer and say the words at the appropriate time.

PA500 - program change of rhythms using external keyboard?
I've been getting my head around external MIDI control of a PA500. I am using a Hammond XK3c keyboard setup as an external controller keyboard. The Hammond has a top keyboard (solo), a lower keyboard (accomp) and bass floor pedals. Each keyboard can send out on a separate MIDI channel. I have the ...

Hi Z, The best pack in your circumstances would be an external plug-in battery pack. The guide I wrote for the internal pack requires very small or flat batteries to physically fit inside the ES-1. There is no room for AA batteries; AAA's will fit but only in a specific area shown in my guide. Sony ...
